A new approach for monitoring bearing failures and shaft unbalance
Innovative hardware
The compact diagnosis system efector octavis evaluates vibration signals using the methods of frequency analysis. The system uses a micromechanical acceleration sensor. Data can be collected, processed and evaluated decentrally with no expert know-how required.

Operating status OK
Continuous monitoring
efector octavis is designed for the early detection of rolling element bearing damage or unbalance. Continuous monitoring offers a reliable and cost-effective solution as compared to intermittent methods.
The unit type VB1001 monitors up to two different objects. The unit type VE1001 can monitor up to five different objects or 20 individual frequencies. An object is defined as a rolling element bearing or a shaft.
With efector octavis permanent vibration monitoring is no longer a question of price.

The integrated expert
Acoustic emission is detected, the frequency spectrum is calculated and e.g. the rolling element bearing state, the unbalance etc. are evaluated.
The condition can be directly read on site and is signalled by binary switching outputs. The switching signal can be transmitted via unscreened cables. Connection to bus systems is possible.

User-friendly operation
Simple PC parameter setting
efector octavis parameters are easily set at the PCvia the RS232 interface (accessory article no. E11572).

Permanent safe mounting
efector octavis is mounted in a radial direction referred to the axis of rotation. The signal transmission can be checked with an impulse tester (accessory article no. E30082).

Setup via pushbutton
After mounting press the Teach button - the reference conditions for the application are transferred to efector octavis.
