ifm leads….others follow As market leader in sensors, ifm electronic knows a thing or two about the demands on the connectors needed to make that vital link to the device in the field. The new range of jumper leads are perfect for the task. Unlike most on the market, the connector, from ifm electonic, cannot be over-tightened, yet is easily secured against not only mechanical stresses, but against moisture ingress, too. The clever design ensures that the o-ring is compressed to precisely the right amount to seal, without being crushed. Even without tools the connection is reliable. Further, the materials used in the EVT range of jumper cables have been chosen for their suitability for washdown environments found typically in the food industry, where temperatures can also reach 100 degrees C. An EPDM seal, bug-free stainless-steel coupling among others guarantee survivability. When used with the matching counterpart on an ifm sensor, seal ratings up to and including IP69K are achievable. To aid the user LED indicators are also fitted as an option, and the most important factor is visibility: the contrast provided by the dark moulding of the head makes these indicators more visible than others on the market. The EVT range of jumper leads from sensor market leaders ifm electronic are perfect for connecting between sensors and splitter boxes or AS-I modules between 0.3 and 10m distant. Straight and angled sockets (sensor end) are available, while the EVT jumpers can be supplied with three, four or five cores. For further information on EVT Jumper Cable
