Robust rectangular inductive sensor with long sensing ranges. Always on the front line, inductive proximity switches need to withstand some rough treatment. The new IMC rectangular (40 x 40 mm) inductive proximity switches from market leader ifm electronic are particularly suited for tough environments, and the long sensing ranges of 20 mm (flush) and 40 mm (non-flush) help to keep them away from mechanical damage. The PA housing will take considerable loads, such as being used as a step, and offers a protection rating of IP 67. The two clearly visible corner LEDs guarantee good visibility even under adverse mounting conditions. They signal operating and switching status. By loosening the adjusting screw the sensor head can be rotated in five different positions. The three-wire unit is connected via an industrial-standard M12 connector, which can be rotated to suit the required exit direction. The sensors are protected against reverse polarity, short circuit and overload. The operating voltage is 10...36 V DC. The sensing range given applies to the complete temperature range of -25...70°C.
